In 1997, TechnoLutherans, Ltd., the predecessor of TechnoStars, was founded. At it inception, the company focused its primary business operations on providing Lutheran churches an opportunity to get on the World Wide Web as quickly and cost-efficiently as possible. In 2000, TechnoLutherans, Ltd became TechnoStars, reflecting the expansion of its business and services to a much wider community than just Lutheran churches. In 2001, TechnoStars opened new data centers in Canada and the United States in order to provide a more robust hosting environment and reliability. At the same time, the company introduced many new products and features to make web design easier and more affordable to organizations of all sizes.
